Special Town Board Meeting
August 15, 2012 at 8:00 PM
Lamartine Municipal Building Meeting Room (LMBMR)
With all meeting notices having been properly posted, Town Chairman Frank Bartzen called the Special Town Board Meeting to order at 8:00 PM. Also, present at this meeting were Supervisors Mike Suprenand and Bruce Rhode and Clerk Jill Randall.
Frank explained that the purpose of this meeting was to re-evaluate bids awarded for the Fenner Road cul de sac fill and excavation project at the August 13, 2012 Town Board meeting. Ed Haney had notified the town that he spoke with the project bidders and it was his understanding that they were bidding the entire project again in one bid number on the bids they submitted to be opened at the Aug 13th Board meeting. The bidders did not intend for the bids they had submitted and were opened at the 7/9/2012 board meeting to be added with the bids submitted for the 8/13/2012 bid opening. The Board was meeting again to look at the bids received for the Aug 13th Board meeting with no connection to the earlier bids submitted. Marchant’s bid opened at the 8/13/12 meeting was $6000.00. TAP Trucking bid opened at the 8/13/12 meeting was $4906.00. Both apparently were to be stand alone bids.
After much discussion and consideration. Mike moved to rescind his Monday night (Aug 13th) motion to award the Fenner Road cul de sac project bid to Marchant Excavation. Bruce seconded the motion. Motion carried
Mike than moved to accept the bid from TAP Trucking in the amount of $4906.00 to complete a 60’ half tear drop cul de sac per his bid. Bruce seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
With no further business to discuss, Mike moved seconded by Bruce to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried
3-0 and the meeting adjourned at 9:10 PM.
