With all notices having been properly posted, Frank Bartzen, Chairman called the January meeting to order at the Lamartine Municipal Building Meeting Room at 7:30 Pm.

Supervisors Mike Suprenand and Bruce Rhode, Treasurer Greg Michels and Clerk Jill Randall were also in attendance at this meeting.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Frank called for any corrections or additions in the December Board Meeting minutes.
Mike seconded by Bruce made a motion to approve the December Board meeting minutes as presented. Motion carried 3-0.

Frank asked Greg to read the December Treasurer’s report. The ending balance as of 12-31-10 is $1,237,370.51. Bruce moved to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Frank seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0.

Citizen Concerns:
An inquiry was made as to the status of the property on Highway 23 and if the property owner was going to request another rezoning hearing. Frank explained that the property owner has expressed to the Town that he would soon be requesting a rezoning on this property, but the Town has not yet received the official request.

Frank announced that a Working Lands Administration meeting would be held Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Eldorado town hall from 1-3 Pm and 6-8 Pm. DATCP will be there to discuss the Farmland Preservation credits.

There were only about 10 town residents interested in participating in the well water testing program. Due to the lack of interest the board does not feel they can justify spending the money necessary to participate in the sampling program. The Town will get information from the UW Extension sponsoring the sampling, as to how those residents that were interested can move forward and sample their own well water.

REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS:
A. Road Report—All is going well this winter.
B. Amended Zoning Ordinance—Adopted at the Public Hearing held on December 21, 2010 at 6:30 Pm at the Lamartine Municipal Building Meeting Room—Frank reported that at the public hearing the Amended Town Zoning Ordinance was adopted by the Town Board. Copies of the Town of Lamartine Zoning Ordinance will soon be on the town website as well as the Fond du Lac County website.
C. Caucus—The Town Caucus will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Lamartine Municipal Building Meeting Room
D. WTA District Educational Meeting—Any Elected Officials wishing to attend, please return your completed registration form to the clerk. There are several meeting dates to choose from.

OLD BUSINESS:
A. Appointment of a regular Plan Commission member to finish Dean Birschbach’s term ending January 2012—Frank explained that he spoke with alternate Plan Commission member Carol Kinyon regarding finishing Dean Birschbach’s term and she stated that she would be willing to move into this position. Frank than spoke with Jim Reblin as to his interested in being appointed as an alternate Plan Commission member to take over Carol’s position. Jim stated that he would accept the position. Bruce moved that the town appoint Carol Kinyon as a regular Plan Commission member to replace Dean Birschbach and appoint Jim Reblin as an alternate Plan Commission member to fill Carol’s former position. Frank seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
B. Reappointment of Jim Reitzner for another term on the Plan Commission, term ends January 2014—Mike made a motion seconded by Bruce that Jim Reitzner be reappointed for a new term as a regular member of the Plan Commission.

NEW BUSINESS:
A. Discussion regarding possible amendments to the Town Subdivision Ordinance—Frank explained that the state has passed new legislation regarding platting law changes. Due to these changes he would like to have permission to have Atty St. Peter look at the Town Subdivision Ordinance and see if any changes need to be made to our ordinance. Mike moved seconded by Bruce that Frank has permission to seek legal counsel regarding this matter. Motion carried 3-0.

An announcement was made that oil filters and oil absorbents would no longer be allowed to be disposed of in the regular garbage. The clerk will make some inquiries as to where these items can be recycled and report the information back at the February board meeting.

Approving the monthly vouchers and checks—Mike moved seconded by Bruce to approve the checks and vouchers as presented. Motion carried 3-0.

With no further business to discuss, Mike seconded by Bruce made a motion to adjourn. Motion carried 3-0 and the meeting adjourned at 8:05 Pm.
