Board Meeting Minutes
March 13, 2017
With all notices having been properly posted, Frank Bartzen, Chairman called the March meeting to order at the Lamartine Municipal Building Meeting Room (LMBMR) at 7:00 pm. Also present at this meeting was Supervisors Bruce Rhode & Roger Grade; Treasurer, Greg Michels and Clerk; Jill Randall. Please see meeting sign in sheet for other attendees.
Pledge of allegiance was recited.
Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting(s)
a. February Board Meeting Minutes (2/13/17)—Bruce seconded by Frank moved to approve the February minutes as presented. Motion carried 3-0.
Treasurer’s Report—Greg read the February Treasurer’s report aloud with an ending balance of
$643,950.14. Bruce moved to approve the treasurer’s report as presented. Roger seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
Public Comment: The clerk reported that Aaron Sadoff, representing the North Fond du Lac School District called to say he would try to make it to this meeting, but if he did not make it to tell all the NFDL District residents in attendance to get out and vote 4/4/2017 and support the school referendums. Greg asked if the items he addressed at the February meeting during the public comment section, would be on the 2017 Annual Town Meeting agenda. The items Greg addressed will be considered for inclusion on the Annual Town Meeting agenda.
REPORTS & COMMUNICATIONS
a. Road Report—Frank reported that Rich is out working on plowing etc. Doing a great job with the limited help he has. Smith Rd is the worst road the town has breaking up, otherwise the town roads are holding up pretty good.
i. Culvert Permit Report--NONE
b. Monthly Building Permit Report—Frank read the 10 or so Building Permits issued for January and February 2017.
c. Update on Closed Session Special Town Board Meeting held at the Town Attorney’s office
Tuesday, March 7, 2017 @ 4:00 PM—Frank reported that the Board met at the Attorney’s office to discuss possible litigation regarding the Mullenbach driveway matter and the Hefty Sign Co. matter. The Attorney is in the process of following the Boards directions. The Board has heard nothing from either of these parties and there is nothing else to disclose at this time.
d. ELECTION Results – Spring Primary – Tuesday, February 21, 2017—the election results were read aloud. The official voting results are filed with these minutes.
e. ELECTION – Spring Election (Local Race also) – April 4, 2017 – Polls open 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM—Lamartine Municipal Building Meeting Room. Please contact Clerk Jill Randall at 920-960-7835 or via email at [email protected] to request an absentee ballot, to make an appointment to vote in person, to register to vote or with any questions you have regarding voting.
f. 2017 ANNUAL TOWN MEETING—Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the Lamartine Municipal Building meeting room.
g. Open Book of the Assessment Roll—April 18, 2017 – 3:00 to 5:00 PM – At the Lamartine Municipal Building meeting room.
h. Board of Review (BOR)—May 16, 2017—4:00 Pm to 6:00 PM at the LMBMR—Property owner must complete and submit a “Notice of Objection” form to schedule an appointment to appear before the Board of Review. Please call Clerk, Jill Randall at 920-960-7835 to receive the form and get an appointment scheduled.
a. Update – Signing of the First Amended Development Agreement (DA) for Woodland Estates by SID Investments—The DA has been signed by all parties. The Town is waiting for the Letter of Credit. The Attorney continues to follow this matter.
a. Board Action: Approval of the Cemetery Lawn Mowing & Trimming Proposals from Country Touch Lawn Care for Anderson Cemetery and North Lamartine Cemetery. Bruce moved seconded by Roger for approval of the cemetery lawn mowing & trimming contract with Country Touch Lawn Care & Landscaping LLC. Motion carried 3-0.
Approval of Monthly Vouchers & Checks—Bruce moved seconded by Roger that the board approve the vouchers as presented. Motion carried 3-0.
Adjournment— Frank moved seconded by Roger to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 3-0 and the meeting adjourned at 7:45 PM.
