Town Chairman Frank Bartzen called the Special Town Board Meeting to order at 6:30 PM at the Lamartine Municipal Building Meeting Room (LMBMR). Also, present at this meeting was Supervisor Bruce Rhode and Clerk, Jill Randall. Supervisor Mike Suprenand was absent.
Frank stated that the purpose of this meeting was for the Town Board to take action on the recommendation of the Five Member User Group that researched vendors for purchasing new computers for the three workstations in the Town office, software for these workstations as well as town hall network cabling, and wifi. The Board would also be hearing recommendations from the Building Committee regarding choice of vendors for painting and flooring for the town office. The Board would also consider a price quote and plan to improve lighting for the office workstations.
Jill Randall a member of the Five Member User Group who researched the computer project; reviewed the information received from three different computer vendors to do the computer work described above. Bruce moved seconded by Frank to accept the bid dated March 7, 2014 from Lemke Consultant, LLC. Motion carried 2-0.
Greg Michels, Chairman of the Building Committee explained that the committee asked two different vendors for bids on painting the town office. Both bids that were received included the paint. The committee recommended that the board go with Ledgeview Painting.
Greg then reported that the committee asked two different flooring vendors for quotes on the town office flooring. The committee recommended the board go with Floorquest and purchase the Shaw Vinyl Plank Breckenridge 20 mil 10 year commercial warranty flooring to be installed in the town office. Frank moved seconded by Bruce to accept the bid from Ledgeview Painting and the bid from Floorquest to do the flooring. Motion carried 2-0.
The Board than reviewed a lighting plan and price proposal from Cody Birschbach to do under cabinet lighting for three workstations. Frank seconded by Bruce moved to have Cody complete the lighting project for the office workstations. Motion carried 2-0.
Greg reported that the total cost of all work to be done totaled $13,690.00.
The project consists of purchasing, install and set up of three new computers, software, monitors, multifunction printer; cabling installed for office / town hall / fire department and maintenance shop office for networking computers, printers, internet etc. New system will include switch, firewall & wifi. Other work included in this project total was painting the office and replacing the flooring and install under cabinet lighting for three workstations and a can light above the clerk’s desk.
With no further business to discuss, Frank moved second by Bruce to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 2-0 and the meeting adjourned at 6:45 PM.
